How-To Save A Chart's Properties As A Chart Template:

If you have modified a chart window's properties you may wish to save that chart's settings for later use or for use on other charts. Creating a chart template makes this easy.

You can save a chart window's properties to create a new chart template by using:

1. VT Trader's Ribbon>Chart menu>Chart Templates group>'Save As...' command
1 (Alternative). Position the cursor over the chart, click the mouse's right button once and choose "Chart Template">"Save Template As" from the contextual menu
2. Name your file and click "OK"
3. Your new chart template will be created; you can make changes to it using the "Manage Chart Templates" command in this same Ribbon menu and group

To re-apply a chart template to a chart or to apply the chart template to another chart, you can do so by:

1. VT Trader's Ribbon>Chart menu>Chart Templates group>'Load...' command>"your template name"
1 (Alternative). Position the cursor over the chart, click the mouse's right button once and choose "Chart Template">"Load Template">"your template name" from the contextual menu
2. Your chosen chart template will be applied to that chart
