Just wanted to ask -> Is there any change been made to the Tick Chart Time Frame in Vt 2.2.0.52 beta ?
I rely heavily on tick charts and want to ask if they are the same as previous VT 2.1 releases or if there is
any difference in 2.2 ? In 2.2 from what I can see at least in the beta is that they don't work...the same as
in 2.1.

Hi D,

Tick charts do work, but they work differently than in 2.1.n builds (pre-Forex.com integration). The reason is that we're not able to retrieve historical tick data from Forex.com's charting service (it's not made available) so when you open a tick chart VT Trader has to start drawing in the ticks and saving them to its cache memory as it's running. Given enough time you'll have a normal-looking tick chart. Unfortunately, there's not anything we can do to change this behavior at this time.

Thanks for replying. It would be great if some time in the near future Forex.com would make available the tick data for tick charts
as well. I understand from what you say that it is there, but not being provided. I don't know about others but I myself would love
to have this made available ( especially because VT can handle it and its a full-fledged time frame ), as I have always used
tick charts and its crippling without it

I apologize if that's the impression I gave you. I don't know how Forex.com stores their charting data (on their side) nor do I know how they handle tick data so I cannot say if they have tick data available or not. I only know that from what the developers have told me, tick data is not available to us (which I took to mean that we simply cannot provide it via VT Trader since we can't get it from Forex.com's charting service - for whatever reason(s)).
