Hope all is well. I just picked up something on Friday and thought I might be mistaking and I actually went back to double check it again. I've been watching a few forums talking about the EUR/USD pair and showing daily charts on the specific pair. What I've noticed is that my daily chart is not the same as in the forums. What was posted there is a daily chart generated by MT4. In their chart you can clearly see there is a doji formation which doesn't show up on VT Trader's chart. Another thing is that the bar created on close of Friday in VT Trader doesn't have the same values as in MT4. I actually downloaded MT4 and generated a daily chart to compare to VT.

On Friday the closing bar for MT4 is:
O:1.38742 H:1.38927 L:1.37530 C:1.37925

On Friday the closing bar for VT Trader is:
O:1.38815 H:1.38826 L:1.37551 C:1.37931

Why is there such a difference?

Hi Abri,

There could be 2 potential reasons. 1) the MT4 broker you were originally comparing to VT Trader closes their daily candle at a different time each day than Forex.com. 2) There's a known bug in VT Trader that offsets the daily closing time (this will be fixed in the next, upcoming release).

Thanks for the feedback. From what I understand the MT4 broker is closing their daily candle on the New York close time. Is this the same for Forex.com? Usually most of the charts look the same, it is just this Friday I picked up this one glitch.

Hi Abri,

Forex.com performs their daily rollover at 5PM ET, however, they do not close their daily candle/bar until 8PM ET (0:00 GMT).
