Chris,

By syntactically correct I mean that the statement has the same # of left brackets "(" as right brackets ")" in it. The Price Volume Trend indicator that VTtrader supplies with the platform is not syntactically correct. Try this... Add the PVT indicator to a 1 minute AUDUSD line chart. Then edit the PVT indicator formula by adding a left bracket "(" to the first line of code all the way to the left hand side in order to make it syntactically correct (see attachment in my first email). Save it and view the chart...it will have changed to an erroneous chart line. This is because of the way the PREV function is handling the statement I believe.

Put the attached indicators into a 1 min AUDUSD chart and compare lines.

Did you get a chance to try to verify the problem?

Hello,

Unfortunately, not yet. I'm going to need to discuss this with Grig and we've both been swamped this last few months with other projects. Hopefully, in the next few weeks I'll get the chance to discuss with him. Right now, we're not changing anything in the programming language because of the sheer time necessary to do so. These tasks have been "on hold" for the time being.

As soon as I know something more, I will post it here for you. In the meantime, I apologize for any inconvenience this may be causing you.

Regards,
Chris

Hello,

I finally got to show this issue to one of the developers. They have confirmed that it is a bug, but they haven't yet determined the how, where, or why of it. They've told me that right now they think it's a bug deep within the scripting engine itself and not necessarily related to the PREV function.

Chris
