I would find a profit target option useful. ie. if multiple positions are open the ability to enter an overall target profit for all open positions regardless whether in profit or loss so when the overall target is reached all open positions are closed.

Would it be possible to add an "Overall" profit/loss field which would close all open positions when the total profit or loss over ALL open positions has been reached regadless of whether the individual trade is in profit or loss.

The purpose would be to close all open positions when a target has been reached. e.g. with 6 positions open 4 could be in profit and 2 at a loss. By setting an overall target of $1000 all positions would close when the target is reached. This would also apply when setting an overall loss.

Are you requesting this functionality to work across ALL currency pairs or just within the same currency (but with multiple positions open).

For example, you have 3 positions open...

1 usd/chf
1 eur/usd
1 eur/jpy

2 are in profit, 1 in loss ... close all positions based on xxx overall profit or xxx overall loss. Is this what you mean?

Also, are you requesting this functionality for "manual" trading and/or for the trading systems?

This function would apply to all currency pairs which are open as in your assessment. The profit/loss amount would be a manual input probably in the account information section.

I would amplify this to include trading systems. The system I have in mind would close the positions at a specified profit in dollar value, and then have the ability to reopen new positions.

Also, this thread is almost a year old, has there been any progress on getting this in the software?

I would like to see this functionality added for trading systems.

I would like to see the choice based on net P/L or gross P/L or both.

For example, if net P/L > $ value1 close all open positions, OR
if gross P/L > $ value2 close all open positions.

Another option is to identify which pairs get closed when a P/L value is reached. From your example, Close eurjpy & eurusd positions when the P/L value is reached.

Also, this thread is almost a year old, can you update the status or progress on this item?
