How-To Copy Prices (Historical Data) from VTtrader Chart

VTtrader does not currently offer historical price quotes other than what is displayed within your chart window(s). You can, however, copy the prices which are displayed on the chart and paste those into a text file. You can do this by using the "copy prices" button in the VT Navigator Window and then selecting the price range you wish to copy from your chart.

Specific Step-by-Step:

1. Ensure the chart window that you want to copy prices from is the active chart window.

2. Use the 'Zoom Out Horizontally' button in the VT Navigator Window (or in the chart scroll panel) to squish ALL of the chart history currently displayed in the chart window so that you can see the very beginning and end price points without having to scroll left or right.

3. Use the 'Copy Prices' button (has a floppy disc on it) in the VT Navigator Window; once this tool is selected, place your mouse at the left side of the chart prices you wish to copy ... click and hold down the left mouse button while you drag the mouse across the chart to the right. Once you've selected all of the price data in the chart that you wish to copy, let go of the mouse button.

4. At this point, the candle history is saved to your PC clipboard so you need to paste it into a text file

5. Open Notepad (or Excel) and then select File>Paste; this will insert all of the price data you just copied into this file.

6. Save your new file that contains the historical price data.
